Getting Started with Canva

We love Canva and we use it for both clients and our own work to help market, promote and add fun images to social media quickly and easily. You have probably seen many “quotes” from famous people on top of an images either on Facebook or Pinterest. Yes this can be done with Photoshop, Gimp or Illustrator but Canva tends to be faster with great options that can get the job done.

What is Canva?

Design shouldn’t be hard but somewhere along the way we became bogged down with expensive, complicated software that put design out of reach for most people. Canva is here to change that, with a tool that makes design simple for everyone.

Canva gives you everything you need to easily turn ideas into stunning designs. Create designs for Web or print: blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations and so much more

What does it cost? ~ Nothing at this point

There is no cost to use Canva. It’s free to upload and design with your own images. You can also use the thousands of free illustrations and images included in the Canva library. If you’re after something more, you can choose from more than one million professional stock images and graphics.

We combine Canva with free stock photos as well (check out our post about where to find them here) and we can create very unique images for our client work, freelance business and eve to promote Press Avenue.
