If you have ever designed a website, chances are you probably had to wait for content. (and then wait some more). Ideally, we do not code until the content is ready or at least 90% done, as it tends to break the process and the add scope creep.
No Content, No Code!
Using randomly generated content can sometimes be the answer to getting your job done while the client or freelance writer is getting their job done! Enter in Lorem Ipsum, which is random latin that you can use as filler content in the meantime.
What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularized in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. For example:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut vitae aliquet nisi, vel dapibus diam. Donec nec ipsum id erat sodales eleifend sit amet in tellus.
While Lorem Ipsum is great there are ways to make it even better. Enter: Cupcake Ipsum. Instead of having random words you can now add delicious ones for example, here is one auto generated Cupcake Ipsum below:
Cupcake ipsum dolor sit amet. Sweet powder chocolate. Halvah tiramisu danish tiramisu. Dessert biscuit jelly beans. Cake jelly beans jelly toffee wafer marzipan lemon drops topping. Pudding tootsie roll tootsie roll chocolate bar jelly oat cake carrot cake toffee icing.
